After a great night of hunting for the Northern Lights in Iceland, most people we met had long gone home but we decided to take a longer route home with our memory cards packed with beautiful Aurora photos. Unfortunately or fortunately the route became more and more difficult to drive due to snow so we decided to turn back to the main road. As we did, we witnessed the real magnetic storm of the night. I quickly positioned myself on a hill overlooking Thingvellir lake and shot this panorama of the amazing lights... =)
