This photograph was taken outside of Valdez, a fishing town in the southern end of Alaska, I was camping by the lake when I noticed the two swan's stretching out their wings. It was near 10pm and the sun was on its way down so jumping at the chance to get the shot i raced over to a good position and began to wait. 30 minutes passed and i felt I had missed all of the action when she turned and looked straight at before lifting up and creating an photograph that will always stick with me.
