Location
I was at Harbor Fest, a start of summer maritime festival, in Norfolk, Va. Walking around with the family.Time
It was at night, probably before 9 PM.Lighting
The way the ship was lit up made the whole shot.Equipment
A Nikon D3000, with a 18- 55mm lens.Inspiration
I was just walking around the festival, and though how cool the masts, and rigging looked with how it was lit up. I wasn't thinking about it, until I down loaded it on the computer. It really is one of my favorite shots.Editing
I did not edit the photo in anyway. In my camera bag
I have a Nikon D90 with a 18-105mm Nikkor lens, and a Nikon D5600 with a Nikkor 18-55mm lens. A Nikkor 55-200mm lens, and a Sigma 150-500 zoom. I normally carry a monopod just in case more stability is needed.Feedback
Just keep your eyes open. You never know for sure how something will come out , unless its a planned shoot. Sometimes the photos you take that don't seem to be that good a the moment, turn out to surprise you.
