Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a family trip to a lake in North Georgia.

Time

I love the colors of this picture because it was taken at dusk. The moths usually come out then and the lighting is always beautiful.

Lighting

The bokeh in the background looks better than I could've imagined because the sun was setting and it was peeking through the trees just a bit.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D3100 and was surprised that I was able to capture amazing images like this.

Inspiration

I was getting out of the car for dinner when I saw this perfect opportunity land on the window.

Editing

I just brought out or decreased certain aspects like contrast and exposure. It did not take too much editing because the lighting was already beautiful.

In my camera bag

I usually have my Nikon camera and a few lenses. I have a 35mm, a 18-55mm, and a 55-200mm. Then I carry around some extra cards and battery.

Feedback

I feel like this picture could be recreated using many different subject matters. Just find something delicate and beautiful and focus in on it. Pay attention to lighting and focus!
