Sunset this time of year was around 7pmLighting
The golden hour speaks for itself I think.Equipment
Sony a35, 75-300 Sony alpha. Hand held but steadied on the railing of the pier.Inspiration
I set up my gear to shoot the sunset behind two shrimp boats that were docked at the shrimp house. I had a little extra time before the sun was exactly where I wanted it so I took the camera off the tripod and went exploring. This gem was hiding in the marsh just out of sight from where I was set up. It turned out to be the best shot of the day. Lesson here is always keep your eyes open to what's around you.Editing
A little exposure correction and slight color adjustment was all I did.In my camera bag
Sony camera, couple of different lenses, cleaning kit, maybe a filter or two.Feedback
Look around you, change your pov, every subject changes just by you moving around a little. Explore your surroundings. And shoot often during the golden hour.
