In the Serengeti, lions can often be seen relaxing on the branches of trees. They do this to escape the heat and the Tsetse flies that have a nasty bite. From the height of the trees, the lions also keep watch over their territory and watch out for any approaching prey while they catch a nap. We saw lions in trees in three different locations .
