Behind The Lens

Location

I got this shot while visiting the Arusha National Park in Tanzania in the month of June, 2015.

Time

We reached the park just before noon to see a flock of Flamingos in the lake. There was continuous landing and taking off by these beautiful birds. I managed to get this shot as this flamingo landed on the lake.

Lighting

Though it was afternoon, the light was perfect for the shot.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D750 full frame camera with a 15-600 mm tamron lens. The shot was hand held.

Inspiration

I was on the lookout for flamingos and when i saw them landing as if walking on the water, i decided that i had to capture the moment.

Editing

Just a slight amount of post processing on lightroom.

In my camera bag

My mirrorless Nikon Z6 with the all purpose walkaround 20-70 mm lens.

Feedback

Wildlife photography means a lot a patience. One has to wait and watch for the right moment.
