Photo was taken mid-day; not the best lighting but my schedule didn't allow for a better time and it's a long drive from San Francisco.Lighting
Since I only had a brief time to be there I had to work with what was available.Equipment
I used a Sony NEX-7 hand-held with the kit lens. I took 3 bracketed shots 2 stops apart and combined them later at home for a HDR image.Inspiration
I had heard tales of a very photogenic ship wreck near Point Reyes so I decided to check it out when I was in San Francisco for a few days. I drove up to Inverness and discovered it to be very accessible behind a market right off the highway.Editing
I used the photomatix merge to 32bit plug-in in Lightroom to combine the 3 bracketed shots.In my camera bag
I have since moved up to a Sony a6000 with several lenses but I use a 18 - 105 for my my main walking around lens.Feedback
If you have the time, wait around for the best light.
