This is a shot taken in Lushan National Park, World Heritage Site, China.Time
Every day was like this with mists even rolling in through the town center.Lighting
On misty days dont be afraid to shoot just because the lighting is poor. Sometimes the results will be useable if not great!Equipment
This was shot using a Canon 5D MK11 using an old Carl-Zeiss 135mm F2.8 M42 lens mounted on an M42-EF adaptor.Inspiration
The area was incredibly picturesque but the heavy mist meant you had to make the most of what you could see.Editing
The shot was cropped and balanced to get the best out of the scene. In my camera bag
On far flung shoots I usually carry a 35mm, 50mm and 135mm prime focus lenses to guarantee I have the best lens for the shot. I gave up using zoom lenses a while back after finding that the best shots in my portfolio were done using prime focus lenses.Feedback
Shots taken in heavy mist can often come out looking as if something is wrong with the camera. Under expose slightly to give room for post processing. You will need it.
