A Gathering Place

One of the places I went as part of a photography tour on the island of Santorini (locally known as Thira) was to a tiny town on the shores of Ammoudi Bay at the foot of the much larger town of Oia. This was one of many hidden corners of the island that speaks more to local life than any of the cafes and restaurants anywhere on the island. I don't know if the blue door next to the table and chairs is just a random storage place that somebody owns, or if it leads into someone's home. It would be strange if the latter were true because this odd little patio is actually underneath a bridge. But as strange as it would be, I would still not be surprised. If the rest of Santorini can build houses on top of each other, why not under a bridge?
