I walked round the ring of Bromo's crater, where the walkable area was covered in volcanic sands and only about 2 feet wide. On my right, a slope went down into a sulphuric gas emitting opening that glew an eerie yellow while the other side declined into "Segara Wedi" (or the Sea of Sands).
