This is a shot of the towers around Dubai Marina, taken from across the Sheik Zayed Highway.Time
It was around mid afternoon. The sky was a nice bright blue colour but I thought adding an orange tint would lend a bit of drama to the shot.Lighting
The light was bright and clear that day, a lot of time in Dubai there is a haze from the humidity and/or dust, so this day turned out to be a great day for some good photos.Equipment

I love architecture and landscape so obviously I combined both in this photo.Editing
I did a bit of post tinting and then mirrored the top half to create a reflection effect.In my camera bag
I usually carry a zoom lense, extra sd card, extra battery, cleaning equipment...the usual!Feedback
I think it's important to get the framing and composition right. In this photo what makes it truly stand out is the post work I mentioned above. Aside from that for landscapes you really want to focus on the composition to make a great shot. Also, finding an interesting or unique subject is key.
