Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a day tour my family and I took a few summers back while visiting Florence. They were expats for a couple years in Europe and acted as my launch pads for all sorts of European adventures and backpacking escapades.

Time

Our tour from Florence stopped through a Vineyard in Tuscany and concluded in Pisa around sunset for breathtaking views of the Italian countryside for those brave enough to climb up the leaning tower of Pisa.

Lighting

People watching is top notch here; I loved watching everyone’s creativity spark as they posed with the Leaning tower of Pisa.

Equipment

I’m mostly self taught with whatever I can get my hands on. During my summers in Italy I was teaching my mom how to use her Nikon and eventually she willed it over to me:)

Inspiration

This trip was towards the end of my first summer in Italy and I was totally smitten. I remember applying to every internship/job I could get my hand on and even took up learning Italian because I wanted to make italy forever home.

Editing

Im a vsco girl through and through. I love how unique and elegant the filters are and the many other capabilities available on Vscocam applications.

In my camera bag

I don't normally carry a bag honestly, I like to have my camera handy so it hangs proudly around my neck when on day trips like this or in my backpack when backpacking for safe keeping.

Feedback

Its all about the angels here, but some yoga to help you hold the pose effortlessly helps too! Photography is fun and a release for me so just try new things and have fun with it!
