During our stay we had found this Abbey near Cherbourge, France. It was quite interesting to see. L'Abbaye Notre-Dame du Vœu (The Abbey of Our Lady of the Vow) in Cherbourg-Octeville, France (Cherbourg, France). Founded in 1145 by Empress Matilda, the abbey was looted and burned many times and the monks had abandoned it before the French Revolution.
