Location
This photo was taken over the A6 Autobahn in Kindsbach, Germany. This area is located near Kaiserslautern, Germany.Time
This photograph had taken sometime to capture just what I was looking for. This exact image was taken around 10:00 pm.Lighting
I had always wanted to do long exposures with vehicles. The bridge over the Autobahn provided the best location to get the exact lighting that I was looking for.Equipment
The equipment that I used was my Canon 70-D, and the 18-55mm kit lense that came with the camera. The camera was set on the edge of the bridge for stability to achieve the best photograph possible.Inspiration
I had always wanted to participate in long exposure photography. I had the pleasure to meet a really great local photographer by the name of Praskovya Thompson. She had know of the area and shown me where the bridge has passed over the Autobahn, which set me up for this amazing photograph.Editing
I had applied minor post processing. The post processing contained in this image was a slight increase in the contrast as well as some exposure compensation. In my camera bag
Most often I have my Canon 70-D, my 70-200mm 2.8 with IS, my 18-55mm kit lense and my 50mm 1.8. Depending on the type of shoot I will also carry my tripod with me.Feedback
I would suggest finding an area that has more light, like a city street. This area provided just enough light to expose correctly, but I would have liked to have more external light. Also ensure that you have the settings set to the best parameters for the situation. Capturing a photograph like this does not require expensive camera equipment, instead it requires experience and time behind the lense trying to capture scenes like this.
