The Goeldi's monkey is a mammal of the order Primates and the suborder Haplorhini (monkeys and apes).
Goeldi's monkey lives in groups. Its groups are small, stable and close knit. They groups do not exceed 10 members and are usually a male female pair with their young. It tends to stay within dense vegetation such as creeper-tangled bamboo.
