This abandoned observatory sat in the middle of a fairly nice neighborhood, so it stuck out like a sore rotting thumb. Originally built in 1918 as a science school with a full telescope. The telescope was removed in 1989 due to light pollution and the school shut down shortly after. There was talk of turning this place into a family home, but the person who purchased the property went to jail for mortgage fraud and it's sat abandoned ever since. I wish they would turn it into a home, it would be amazingly unique.
