Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken during a winter walk. Just after an ice storm.

Time

It must have been midday, around noon. It's good walking weather between 12 and 2 when the sun is the strongest.

Lighting

I didn't use a flash, or a macro setting. I just got real close and waited for the wind to pause.

Equipment

Shot with a Canon Rebel T3. Auto setting. Natural lighting.

Inspiration

It caught my eye, a single drop on a cedar cone on a lone tree in a field by itself. Minimalism.

Editing

No editing other than auto correct.

In my camera bag

I usually carry more than I need. I didn't have my bag this day, just my camera.

Feedback

Patience. If you are 'looking for the shot' you are trying too hard. Shoot what catches your eye. Take 100 shots, delete 95 of them and try again.
