Location
This was taken in Falmouth, Cornwall. I was staying with my sister in student flats overlooking the docks and the cranes looked fantastic in the sunset.Time
It was taken shortly before the sun set when the town was quietening down.Lighting
The lighting of the sunset was beautiful and made the structure of the cranes look great. There were many seagulls in the area, so i waited for one to enter the shot to capture the body's flying elegance.Equipment
This was shot on my Canon Powershot SX40 HS.Inspiration
The lighting from the sunset beautifully highlighted structure of the cranes in the dock yard. There were also many seagulls in the sky, so i waited for one to enter the shot to capture the body's flying elegance as well.Editing
The gentle light from the low sun was amazing enough to highlight the features in the frae without creating any harsh effects. I was lucky to have such an amazing natural orange shade. In my camera bag
I recently sold the camera i used for this shot, which had a fantastic zoom and so helped greatly with capturing this. But now i always pack my Canon 750D, 18-135 which is proving to be a worthwhile buy!Feedback
I go to Cornwall often and always have my Camera with me in the evening, so that i'm always prepared for that special Cornish sunset. For this i was lucky to be in the right place to have such great structures between me and the setting sun.
