This B 17 was flying wing on us in another B 17, Aluminum Overcast, on practice day for the VE Flyover in Washington DC. What a thrill, how often will 2 B 17s be flying together and we could look out the window and see a B 29, a B 24 and 50 0r 60 other WWII aircraft flying about. The only thing missing was the noise of 12 50 cals going off, the extreme cold, and no one was shooting at us. Best to leave that to imagination and the heroes that fought that war. Awesome.
