Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my front yard in Dallas, PA. I'm a self taught photographer and was looking for a macro shot for a daily theme.

Time

This shot was taken in the morning, right after it rained. I had taken other water droplet shots before right after it rained so I knew the opportunity would be there.

Lighting

Early morning light gave the perfect lighting for this macro shot.

Equipment

Believe it or not I used my Samsung Galaxy S6 cellphone. F1.9, 1/120, 4.30mm, ISO 80

Inspiration

I participate in daily and weekly themes to keep my creative juices flowing. This particular theme was six water droplets. So I went looking specifically for six bit found this shot and fell in love. I did eventually find one with six for the theme.

Editing

I cropped and used an Instagram filter to give it that mystical look.

In my camera bag

I have a whole arsenal of cameras. A Canon 60 D, Panasonic Lumix G7, an Olympus OM-D E-M5 iii (lenses of several focal lengths) macro adapters and have used Galaxy S6, S7 and currently a Galaxy S10

Feedback

Be patient. It can take a while crouching around trying to find that one shot. Morning dew can create nice drops as well.
