This photo was taken in Thika, Kenya.Time
It was just after 2.00pm , we were driving through the town of Thika and had just reached the outskirts of the town, which is largely a rural area.Lighting
These two boys got my eye because they had the most hopeful and tranquil faces i have ever seen. Just laying there infront of there grandmother's house in the grass, talking, laughing and just loving that moment they had together.Equipment
I used my trust Sony Nex 3. The lens was a kit lens 18-50mm f3,5Inspiration
The first and only inspiration that i got was there faces. I could almost say that you could feel their energy! Just two friends chilling in the afternoon sun. Talking about things only they know and understand but you could see from their eyes that they had alot in mind; lots of hope, lots of thoughts....Editing
I shot it in HDR, directly from the Sony Nex 3In my camera bag
Now day i have a Canon 600d, Panasonic GH4, Canon 50mm f1,8, Sigma 18-55 f2.8, Lumix 20mm f1,7 and a trusty old manfrotto tripod.Feedback
My advice is to keep your eyes open. Not just for the perfect shot but more for the perfect moment to notice things that we normally overlook. To have that patience to watch out for those small but beautiful moments in life.
