Although we live close by, we often miss Lake Louise as it can be very crowded. This was taken on an overcast day (we visited to grab a coffee) and I liked the colour contrast with the warmth of the rocks and the aqua lake. I used a polarizer to cut through surface glare.

One of my few efforts at monochrome. Elbow Falls in Alberta, Canada.

Fire and Ice on Abraham Lake in the Canadian Rockies. The bubbles are caused by methane trapped in the ice.

One of my very first landscape images with my trusty Rebel. This was ona trip into the mountains with a shiny new (well to me at least) 17-40.

We arrived at this location for a sunset shot, and were immediately shown a Double rainbow. Much panic ensued.

No-one ever seems to stop here (it's on the side of the road) as they're in too much of a rush to photograph Peyto Lake, 100m up the road!

This is first light upon Mt. Edith Cavell from Jasper NP. It's actually a river and for this view you need wellies and tripod as you're standing in it
