We were photographing an old shack for a landscape when this beautiful owl landed on a fence post about 20ft away from me (getting in my shot mind you!). I was eventually able to get back to the car and grab a telephoto, and we watched him-her hunt around us for the next hour...... It was successful about 8 times, and landed on this old tree stump after one.

One of my few efforts at monochrome. Elbow Falls in Alberta, Canada.

Fire and Ice on Abraham Lake in the Canadian Rockies. The bubbles are caused by methane trapped in the ice.
