Every year right before Halloween, there is a festival called "Witches Night Out". Photographing the event is very interesting. Despite being made up in garish costumes, many of the witches seem to not like having their pictures taken. Many turn away or duck their heads or raise a hand to block a face shot, quickly scurrying away to get out of range. It is very strange to see such reactions, especially considering the whole point of this was to come out and be seen,, (it's actually a huge costume contest).
