Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture in my garage. I have a small portable studio set and was just playing around with it.

Time

it was in the evening but to be honest it could have been any time of day as there is no windows in my garage.

Lighting

I only used one light for this picture.

Equipment

I used a canon 550D camera with a 50mm lens, and the flash from the light triggered by the hot shoe and lead. camera balanced on the tripod.

Inspiration

My model was turning 21 and was having a 20's themed party so we set about trying to create that 20's theme. I hope we managed to capture a little of this.

Editing

just a little adjustment of the light and shadow is all the post processing that was done.

In my camera bag

I normally carry my camera with a couple of lenses, a wide angled lens for landscapes and a 100mm macro lens. if I fancy trying my hand at wildlife I take my 200 - 400mm lens. a tripod or monopod also comes with me.

Feedback

I am a an amateur photographer and my only advice is to play with the light until you get the desired look.
