I had spotted these Sambar Deers grazing on lush green grass on the ground at Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in Thekkady, Kerala, India. I was fascinated by the contrast these beautiful animals offered to the green grass and their formation in a perfect row. The picture was taken from a moving motor-boat on Periyar Lake using a handheld DSLR with a 70-300 mm telephoto zoom.
