Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at Hugo Lake in Hugo, Oklahoma. I have studied photography at Paris Junior College. I also took a photography course through Strafford University.

Time

Every morning before going to work i would get up and go for a walk around the lake. I would drive to different parts of the lake and the trees at the time always looked like a heart. That morning a boat was going across the lake at that time and the sun coming up at the time captured my eye. 06/10/2014 5:16am

For this particular photo I used my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Phone.

Typically when using my phone I adjust the settings for the brightness and contrast so that the brightness from the sun does not over power the picture.

In my camera bag

Besides my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge I carry my Nikon D3300 with a 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm lens extra battery's and a Nikon D40.

Every morning is a new day with a different chance to catch the lighting in a new way. Being willing to get up before sunrise to be at the location that you chose will benefit in capturing the picture you desire.
