Mike Lawie and I enjoying the view from Hunter’s Beach on May 20, 2015, 10:40 PM. I had scouted it out virtually some time ago with Photo Pills and Google Earth, and it predicted the Milky Way would rise along the edge of Hunter’s Head, outlining its profile. Baker Island Lighthouse is visible in Mike’s hand.

We had some beautiful airglow, no saturation or vibrance has been added to this image. I masked two edits of the same RAW file in Photoshop to get some more shadow details of the ground. A special thank you to Mike’s wife, Shelley, for pushing the shutter button for us! :-D
