I am a passionate photographer from Mauritius and like sharing the beauty of nature, people and travel. During a visit in France, specifically in Normandy I was amazed by the Etretat cliffs. It was in summer and the amazing white clouds were combing the cliffs in a stunning way.Time
I went to visit the cliffs of Etretat with a group of friends early one morning after driving from a village in Normandy. It was around 10am when we arrived there, admiring the sea, the pebble beach and the stunning cliffs on both sides of the bay. We started to walk on the left side of the cliffs as the biodiversity was amazing with the fresh sea breeze and green grasses. Lots of colourful insects and seabirds around.Lighting
Since it was a summer day, clear blue sky and sweet sunlight,the natural light reflecting on the pure white clouds was amazing. No flash needed, just the pleasure of sharing the fantastic feeling of standing on earth and seeing clouds all around you.Equipment
I always had during that French trip, a compact camera, the Lumix DCM-ZX3. I left my reflex Canon camera at my friend's place that day wanting to simply enjoy the day. I love that Lumix camera, small enough to carry around in my bag, great lens and amazing clear images mainly for macro pictures which are my favorite style. No tripod, no additional flash: simply the Lumix camera, nature and me.Inspiration
The light reflecting on that white clouds, the golden earth colour and green grass further in the distance and also the feeling of how nature is vast and how we do feel light as if walking on clouds. Just an amazing energy of the power of the wild sea at the foot of the cliffs, a special moment when the clouds were around the summit of the cliffs. As the sun was up, the clouds and mist were disappearing.Editing
I mainly added a little more contrast to the picture to make the green grass stand outIn my camera bag

When you are out there in nature, nothing can really be planned and that's the magic of it all. Be attentive to details, as when the right light shifted and find the right spot to capture the good elements. Enjoy being out there as it's through what you see and feel at that very moment that encourages you to press the shutter to capture such nature beauty.
