This photo was taken in the woods not so far from my house. It used to my playground as a child and quite dear place for me. I had so much fun as playing Nancy Drew there with my friends...Time
We were suppose to shoot little bit earlier on that morning, but my model was little bit late, she has a real trouble in waking up :D We always laugh that she has like 10 alarm clocks and her husband still have to wake her up, she does not react to those alarm clocks. But yes, we were shooting around 8 am and still managed to get quite nice shots.Lighting
Just pure natural light, no reflectors. It is the way I mostly shoot. I do love early morning light, yeah I am a weirdo, more often people are talking about that golden hour light... and I like it too, but I feel that early morning is just magical in every way.Equipment
Canon EOS 5D Mark III with Sigma 50 1.4 art lensInspiration
I just simply wanted some early Spring inspired shotsEditing
Yes, of course! Ialways do some post-processing, sometimes more and sometimes less. Here I added little blur to below part of the photo and some light to her face and some re-touching to he skin.In my camera bag
I have my 2 Canon 5D Mark III (now dreaming about the new Mark IV...), Canon 85mm 1.2 is always in my bag, and 70–200 mm 2.8 , those 2 are my favorites along with 24-70 2.8 L. I rarely use 50mm Sigma like here in this photo, and then I have 100mm macro 2.8 lens and these 2 have been mostly at my home office :D During this summer I have used those more often. And it is good sometimes to change something and challenge yourself. And yes my bag is full of props sometimes, usually lots of rubbish, some ants and spiders during the summer... ;) My bag is a hot mess, and really in need of new bag!Feedback
This is basically very simple portrait, if you love shooting portraits, just focus on your subject, and what surrounds her. Just see what is on the inside, of your model and yourself.
