Location
This was taken in a small field of lupines near the road, not far from my home. I tend to find nice spots quite near my house, even I always whine that I have already used like every inch of the little town I live.Time
I think it was around 8 am we went to this field and started shooting. I have always been keen on morning light, but lately I have started to love evening light as well.Lighting
Just pure natural light and my lovely assistant at the time was holding a reflector.Equipment
It was Canon 5dmark3 I think, and with 24-70 2.8. L lens, those have been some of my go to lens and camera body for years now.Inspiration
I love lupines, those are just so beautiful flowers and even I made this photo black and white, they are still magical. Just did something bit similar shoot after 4 years since this photo, and I am as happy with the results now what I was back then.Editing
Yes some skin retouching, not much, because she has quite flawless skin, and yes black and white conversion of course. So not much.In my camera bag
I have 2 camera bodies usually always in my bag, now I have Canon 5dmark4&3, and go to lenses 24-70 2.8 L and 50mm 1.4 Sigma art, with 70-200 2.8 L and occasionally 2 more lenses :D I tend to use mostly that Sigma nowadays, but tried to use again others as well. And my bag is usually filled with some little props or something you could need while shooting. Snacks for the model ;)Feedback
This is pretty simple portrait with natural light, just find the right location and your favorite light and of course the model. And always nice to have someone to assist as well if needing a reflector or something. Summer is wonderful time here in Finland to do shoots like this. I only wish that period would be bit longer here ;)
