I like this shot, it rad, i think it would have overwhelming praise if it was on a wall framed, but it's still awesome and tells a great story

Location
This photo was made in an undisclosed state park in Mo.Time
We started the day at around 06:00 and drove to the park to start shooting around 07:45, we needed to get in before things got too crowded.Lighting
June is lit by a gridded 400ws strobe, this helped me separate her from the background.Equipment
I shot this with a Nikon D810 and 300mm lens, the strobe was an Impact 400s.Inspiration
The inspiration for this photo came while shooting what we were in the location for. I want to shoot some small person, big world type shots. I always try to vary by field of view and angle when shooting. Sometimes what you did not set out to shoot becomes better than the plan.Editing
I edited this photo in MacPhun Tonality. I usually find a preset I like and adjust to taste. In my camera bag
I usually have my main camera (Nikon D810) an 85, 50, and either a wide or long zoom depending on mood. I also almost always have a film camera or two with me.Feedback
My advise to someone wanting to create something similar is to travel and find locations that suit what you are wanting to create. Next to to figure out when you will be able to be alone with your subject (this is a well traveled park) finally learn how to use your equipment to create the mood that you want to create.
