A naturally formed cove on the Jurassic Coast, Lulworth Cove is at the mercy of the tide as it sweeps into the cove. There is no breakwater so it is not a haven for fishing boats or other vessels. Fog often rolls down the hill surrounding the cove and the cliffs are eroded by the tides resulting in many rock falls.
