Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken while walking through Vancouver, WA. Known for the intense foggy morning, this lasted well into the evening giving off an eerie appeal. Then again it was a few days before Halloween.

Time

After waking up quite late in the day, I wanted to capture at least one photo. Around 4pm and the clouds had not lifted, nor had the gloomy presence that the fog brought along with it.

Lighting

All natural/available light.

Equipment

On a simple point and shoot camera.

Inspiration

The atmosphere, anything with a touch of haunted reality draws me in. And this photo seemed pretty close to that definition.

Editing

Not a whole lot. After shooting with a point and shoot, all it took was a bit of darkening within the contrast level.

Just the camera.

Feedback

Pay attention to the weather, go out and investigate which areas hold an unreal atmosphere and try to use natural or available light if possible.
