Behind The Lens

Location
The Photography was taken in a near by neighbors field right when they started to harvest soybeans.
Time
It was taken just between dusk and night fall.
Lighting
I did not use any special equipment or lighting except the natural light of the evening. I relied on the natural lighting and the lights on the combine to help me create the mood of the photograph.
Equipment
I used Nikon camera and a tripod
Inspiration
What inspired me for this photograph were all the farms that are in my surrounding area. Most people believe that when the sun goes down that farmers stop what they are doing and go home. I wanted to capture the fact that their job is not done until all the crops are cut and hauled away. I also wanted people to see that their job is a thankless job and with out the farmer we would not have food to put on our table.
Editing
I might have lighten it a little but to be honest I tried to capture the combine in the field the way it was intended.
In my camera bag
Nikon camera, 3 lens, filters, usb cards, charger and a small lens cleaning kit
Feedback
I think that the only advise I could give is to capture something that you are passion about and to trust your instincts. When doing a photograph like this make sure you ask the farmer before taking the picture, for they need to know that you are in the field with them and have an idea of were you will be setting up so that an accident does not happen. Also it was helpful that I had someone with me that knew how the combined worked and how fast it would travel so that I could have the proper settings on my camera to capture the combine.
