If you have visited Galway in the west of Ireland, then most likely one of the most memorable things about the place were all the buskers on the streets.
Busking has come up for debate with local authorities numerous times, not just in Galway but in places around the world. Galway City Council is reviewing the whole area of street performance and busking in the city and considering the possible introduction of new polices or bylaws to regulate street performance.
Should busking be regulated? Or would all the transience, variety and spontaneity be lost? The soul of the streets gone?
