Had some downtime during a business trip to Bermuda and took advantage of it. Snuck some time in on a college road trip to do some shooting

Behind The Lens

Location
The photo was taken in Central Park in New York City in an area called "The Mall". It is rare to see this are so empty -- it is usually filled with people
Time
This image was taken right around dawn on cold, dreary fall day.
Lighting
Due to the overcast sky and moisture in the air, the light was even and soft. Beautiful time to shoot fall colors.
Equipment
I used my trusty Nikon D610 and a tripod due to the low level of light.
Inspiration
When I think of New York as a romantic city, this is the vision I see.
Editing
I warmed up the colors a bit but, fortunately, I did not have to do too much. We don't need to mess around with beauty.
In my camera bag
Aside from my camera, I carry three lenses: a 14-24mm, 24-70mm, and a 70-200mm, all with a maximum aperture of F/2.8. I also carry a 10-stop ND filter along with two graduated filters. I like to use the wireless remote shutter release when my shutter speed is more than 1 second.
Feedback
You need to get to this spot early. Sunday mornings are usually pretty quiet. Watch the weather -- the worse the weather is, the fewer the people will be be here.
