Behind The Lens

Location
Grand Central Terminal
Time
8:05AM as evidenced by the clock in the photo
Lighting
There is a window of time during the year when the sun lines up and flows through the east window at Grand Central. It lasts about three weeks and for each day for about 40 minutes, these beams create a great scene.
Equipment
D600, 24-70 f/2.8 lens I wish I had my tripod. I had to balance the camera on a balcony
Inspiration
I actually missed my normal train and arrived late to Grand Central. I was about to head over to my office when I noticed the dramatic lighting streaming through the window. I did not mind being late that day!
Editing
No much in post. A little added contrast. This was before I know how to use Photoshop.
In my camera bag
D610, and three lenses (10-24, 24-70, 70-200) along with some filters and a remote.
Feedback
You need to now what time of year to be at this spot. From about 8: 00 to 8:40 Leave shutter open for about .5 seconds
