Behind The Lens

Location

English Falls, Ontario

Time

Not sure. Typically spend whole day with my subject matter. I would have to look at meta data.

Lighting

I find there are may even two times a day where natural lighting hits the "magic" zone. This is the light in which the colors of the world match my heArt.

Equipment

Don't remember. Is not so important. Shoot with what you have available. I'm an artist before a photographer. It was probably a Nixon D60. Or a Canon Rebel. I was experimenting with both at the time.

Inspiration

I'm always trying to find my soul in all things and claim it. Photography is a way to do this. That moment in time and the connection made are forever captured in time.

Editing

Not really. I do most of my work falling in love with the subject while on location. An uninteresting image is still an uninteresting image no matter how you slice it after the fact. I always work with what is available and add myself to it. As for post, I do amplify many of the attributes to match the feeling I experienced during the moment of capture.

In my camera bag

Currently. Nothing. I'm without a camera or computer system. I hope to be able to acquire one soon and continue again with my passions. Currently I have been using my phone and many of the apps to create more conceptual pieces. I can include a link to some of these worKS if desired.

Feedback

Fall in love with your subject. Sit with it. Get to know it. Breath it. Let it become a part of you. Fall in love. Then capture it's soul. And leave a part of yours behind.
