Location
This was taken at my home in upstate, New York. My 3 year old pug Phoebe was sitting in quiet contemplation looking out the window, spring had finally come and with the bustling birds to the busy bees she was being entertained.Time
I believe it took this a little afternoon when the sun was finally facing the window.Lighting
Natural lighting coming through west facing window.Equipment
I used a Canon 1000d, no flash and the 18-55 canon lense.Inspiration
Wildlife and nature are my inspirations since I live in a rural area and these are readily available to me.Editing
There was no post processing in this shot, it was straight out of the camera. In my camera bag
I have my canon 1000d bridge, a fisheye, 2 lenses one 75-300 and the 18-55 lense with a DSLR 300 flash. I do have a tripod but to big to put in my bag.Feedback
I really don't have any advice to offer except try try again. I am a amateur and I have been practicing with settings and lenses for 5 years now.I live in such a rural area that the nearest college to offer photography classes is over 20 miles away with a toll bridge.Everything is self-taught and alot of reading from photography tips from facebook photography groups.
