Behind The Lens

Location

Worthing Beach West Sussex.

Time

This was taken in the early morning around 8am.

Lighting

I used a sekonic light meter for this shot, although there was plenty of light the camera can still sometimes get it wrong, and a great deal of light will make the camera underexpose so careful metering was needed here.

Equipment

I changed my camera for the O M D e5m this is a mirrorless camera and the censer greatly improved with less noise at low light, and the image quality is much better.

Inspiration

The clouds that lead the eye to the main subject of the old pier, this was a great day's photo shoot.

Editing

Just a touch more saturation of colour.

In my camera bag

Olympus O M D e5m 70-300mm zoom now a 12-50mm lens small flash ND filters 2stop 4 stop 6stop and the big stopper of 10, spare batteries, shutter release remote, spare sd card,Polarizer filter, small brush

Feedback

If your going to go to the coast look at a map and see when the sun will rise for your shots, and if the weather is good stay the day, take your time and don't rush anything just walk talk, enjoy your day and be ready to get that shot, late evening can produce some great sunsets, enjoy.
