Location
The photo you see here was taken on my way to work between Effingham and Cobham in surrey EnglandTime
This photo was always going to be one day but like any landscape photographer the right lighting and time was of the essence, on a cold morning and knowing the sun would rise on this day this was it. Now not being a man who get's up early in the morning this had to be done and so with my camera gear ready scraping the frost of the car and a short drive later reached the field and began setting up my triopod, the light was beginning to show and thank you mother nature for the sun, now easy doe's it focus on the moment remote release and press, after some exposure checks, the photo was taken, job done not bad for a Monday morning my work mate's could not understand why i was so happy, well life though the lens has a strange and wonderful way of making people like us smile, life though a lens, and don't we just love the moment.Lighting
I wanted to show a calm and peace with mother nature to draw you in to the world of amazing light color, a feeling of what i felt when i pressed the shutter to share this image with you, just the sound of the first bird, the first rays of the morning sun as it hit's your face, and eyes lighting up your day, warmth in the heart and soul, and knowing the planning and the waiting was more than worth while, thank you for the day and mother nature.Equipment
My camera was a Olympus O M D e5m lens was a 12mm-50mm set at 26mm aperture f10 and shutter speed 500th of a second iso 200 gizoto tripod weighing 3kg no flashInspiration
Just driving each day past this spot and looking at the light and sun each day to work out the best time, the simple composition, and using the fence to lead the eye into the shot, some one once said less is more, and thank you to that man, and reading looking at other people's photo to spur me one, and VIEW BUG has helped very much in this way.Editing
A touch of hue and edge definition to smooth out the out look of the image using CS6In my camera bag
Ok first my olympus O M D e5 45mm prime lens 1.8 70-300 zomm lens in digital term 140-600mm 12-50mm lens small olympus flash 3kg tripod, grad filters 2 4 8 and a big stopper of 10 remote shutter release and now 2 fish eye adapters of 16mm and 25mmFeedback
My advice would be this, if you have a place that's close to you or you know a landscape that would look amazing then go for it. Take your time and plan your shot, keep checking the weather forecast sometime they get it right, and check all your gear before your journey, be there just before first light, and most of all, NEVER GIVE UP, I can do it so can you believe in your self and you will have an image forever, go get, click capture and good luck.
