Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at home. In the dining room. I love taking photos of bugs and especially ladybugs. Every ladybug has a different pattern on it's back. When you take a macro photograph you can see the pattern. This one reminded me of a clown face.

Time

I took this photo in the afternoon. When I got home from work I saw a ladybug on the table. I immediately grabbed my camera and started shooting.

Lighting

I used natural light. The green and red was a good colour composition.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D5100, with a macro lens. No flash or other equipment was used.

Inspiration

I love taking photos of bugs and especially ladybugs. Every ladybug has a different pattern on it's back. When you take a macro photograph you can see the pattern. This one reminded me of a clown face.

Editing

No, I didn't use any post-processing. I try to take my pictures so that post-processing isn't necessary.

In my camera bag

In my bag you will always find my camera, my macro lens, and my 70-300mm Sigma lens. And I always carry water and lip-ice with me.

Feedback

Patience is the most important when taking photos of animals and bugs.
