Behind The Lens

Location

this photo was taken at the crawley boat shed one of the most photographed locations in Perth Western Australia

Time

I took this photo at sunset using the beautiful natural light that is available at that time of day this photo was taken at f19 20sec at iso 100

Lighting

the only thing i can say about lighting is use the natural light that is available at sunrise and sunset and anywhere a hour either side

Equipment

i shoot using a Nikon d90 i took this photo using my 18-250mm sigma lens

Inspiration

the inspiration for this photo was that i had not been to this spot before and the sunset looked like it was shaping up to be a ripper also wanted to see what i could achieve from one of the most photographed locations in perth

Editing

Post Processing was done in lightroom it was just minimal processing i lightened up the shadows a little bit adjusted the and adjust the saturation a minimal amount

In my camera bag

i have a Nikon d90 with 2 lenses a wide angle witch is a sigma 10-20mm also a sigma 18-250mm zoom lenses i have circle polariser and a variable nd filter for both lenses

Feedback

the best advice i can give is get out there and give it a go dont be afraid to play with your settings Also take as many photos as you can because the lighting can be constantly changing
