This photo was taken at a pumpkin patch somewhere near Atlanta,GATime
I remember this trip with my family on a bright sunny morning to a pumpkin patch near Atlanta, GA. My son who was around 3 year old at that time was so fascinated and was running around the whole patches. This photo is one best example of how a casual click can turn into one awesome image. Everything was good on that day, the light, the distance from the camera to the object, height, everything. That day was not too sunny, and not too cloudy....As i remember it was in the morning. Definitely before 12 PM.Lighting
I am so excited about the depth of field in this photo. When i took the photo i only had one thing in my mind. The image should only have pumpkins in it. Nothing else. Not even the wall behind it. As i remember, it was a busy day and i just had to wait for no people near this beautiful pumpkins. yes patience can definitely bring the best photo out of your lens. As you can see the peduncle is so sharp that you can even see the minute details of it. Another good reason to keep your lens clean. The light on the day was just perfect. Not too sunny, and not too cloudy....As i remember it was in the morning. Definitely before 12 PM.Equipment
My old Nikon D5000 with Nikon 50-200 lens. This is a handheld photo. No filter used. This image is a best example of why you do not need expensive camera and lens to take some beautiful image. It all depends on angle, subject, and light. As you can see the subject is just pumpkins, nothing else.Inspiration
I had taken many pumpkin patches photo in the past and in the future to this image. But nothing has come as beautiful as this one. One inspiration i remember is that this particular patches of pumpkins were all good in shape, evenly arranged and looks catchy on naked eye.Editing
No post processing done as far as i remember. It is what it is :)In my camera bag
I am now having Nikon D610 with 17-70mm Tokina lens, 150-600mm tamron lens. Nikon 50mm Prime lens. and Rokinon 85mm manual focus F1.4 lensFeedback
Don't ever think that beautiful images can come out of only expensive camera and lens. How you see an object does matter. Imagine how your image should look like before you click it. Lighting is one very important aspect of photography.
