I took it in the early evening.Lighting
I had just turned the Christmas tree lights on and was watching my Granddaughter place decorations on the tree when i saw the great lighting.Equipment
I used my Nikon V1 and the 30 to 110 lens. No flash or Tripod.Inspiration
It was such a special moment as this was the first time my Granddaughter had helped to decorate my Christmas Tree, and watching her so enthralled was something i just had to capture.Editing
I did very little post-procesing other than to very slightly improve the saturation.In my camera bag
I now have a new camera the D3200 and i have five lenses; 70-300mm; a 90mm macro lens;a 18-55mm; a 55-200mm and a 10-20mm.Feedback
My advice is always have a camera close to hand as you never know when these very precious moments present themselves. I very much like taking photos of people and children without them knowing as i feel this captures true expressions rather than forced ones.
