Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at my house in Malaysia. I do love taking photos that's attract my eye and attention. And for sure, I am always wanted to share what I see with others and hopefully they will love the photo and started to appreciate the beautiful world we are living in.

Time

This photo was taken around 8am in the morning. While I am having my coffee and updating my facebook, twitter and instagram, I saw this beautiful dragonfly sit quietly on a rope next to me. So, slowly I get my camera ready and move towards it as slow as I can and holding my breath to avoid it fly away. Lucky me, even though it flew few time, the dragonfly came back to the location.

Lighting

Since, it is like 'once in a lifetime', I just have to ensure that the background of white wall will give a clearer image of this dragonfly with some source of original light from my right-hand side.

Equipment

I only use camera.

Inspiration

I love to take animal/insect picture especially a macro photo of it of which it can give a closer looks of it that cant be seen through bare eyes.

Editing

Yup, I did some cropping and sharpen the image to give fullest satisfaction whenever people look at it.

In my camera bag

I carry normal compact camera but whenever I plan for a photo walk, i'll be fully equipped with my D7000 Nikon, a Speedlight, a tripod, 2 back-up batteries, remote commander, few memory card, battery charger and batteries for my Speedlight.

Feedback

Just be ready with our camera at all time as opportunities wont wait. Get our camera settings ready on any mode required or ready for. Be alert, have patience and cool. :-)
