Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at a village in North Lebanon called Tashea.

Time

Not sure but I think it was afternoon.

Lighting

This photo was taken in the shadow, and that is one of the reasons this photo was a success.

Equipment

I had my Nikon 5000 with the 18-55 mm.

Inspiration

I tried to take many photos for the snail, first I tried getting a low angle shot, but failed with all shots, except of one, but still was not so special. So I decided to change my angle and thought about a topview angle, and when I took the shot I tried to make it symetric as much as I can, and finally that's what got.

Editing

Sure, I applied the HDR filter, and gave the photo more details, and more saturation. I also straitegned my photo to get a better symetrism.

In my camera bag

My camera, Nikon D5000, 50 mm 1.8 f D lens, an extension tube for transforming my 50 mm lens to a macro lens, and finally a flash.

Feedback

To capture such photo, I think the most important thing is to be just above the object you want to capture. You must maintain the camera firmly, and your lens surface should be exactly parallel to the ground.
