Just outside of Las Vegas is a wonder that many visitors don't even know is there. I became fascinated by Red Rock Canyon many years ago wile on a business trip. The shear size and scope of this grand Mt range is majestic. On my last trip to Vegas It was overcast and rainy for the majority of the trip. However one of the locals told me that It some times gives a window of opportunity in the morning before the clouds move in. So with a borrowed tripod (thanks Scott) I was off at 5am. I reached the gate just in time to be the first visitor of the day. Then as the sun came up the beauty and splendor was unbelievable! The Photo features the "Keystone Thrust" The walls are up to 3,000 feet (910 m) high. It really captivates me when I stand in such grand beauty.
